Use the local arrival date

Panama uses UTC−5 year-round. A flight after midnight belongs to the new local calendar date, even if the journey began the previous evening. Give the operating flight number and the date shown for arrival at PTY; do not use your home time zone for pickup instructions.

Agree what a delay means

Ask whether the provider monitors the flight, when included waiting starts and what happens after a major schedule change or cancellation. These conditions vary by operator. Our website does not promise unlimited waiting or an automatic free date change without a written service confirmation.

Stay in touch after landing

Have the booking contact available offline and send an update if baggage or formalities delay you. Follow the terminal-specific meeting instructions rather than accepting an unverified replacement arrangement. If the phone cannot connect, use the contingency procedure agreed before travel.

Check the destination can receive you

A city hotel, small Casco Viejo property and gated beach villa can have different overnight access arrangements. Confirm reception hours, keys and gate acceptance with the property. For a long onward road journey, discuss a nearby airport hotel if the actual arrival makes the original schedule unsuitable.
