El Valle is a mountain destination
El Valle de Antón is inland from the Pacific Riviera, inside a mountain valley. It is different from Antón town and from Río Hato’s beachfront resorts. Use the full town and hotel name; Golden Frog Inn and Canopy Lodge have their own last approaches.
La Compañía has two different destinations
Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo is in Panama City. Hotel La Compañía del Valle is in El Valle at the former Los Mandarinos site. A search result or voucher that truncates the name can hide a major journey difference. Confirm the address directly with the accommodation before accepting a city or mountain fare.
The final climb takes time
Plan around 2 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours on the road from PTY, with additional time for airport formalities and possible traffic disruption. Rain and the winding mountain approach may slow the last part of the drive. Request an agreed rest break or motion-sickness accommodation in advance.
Coordinate late check-in and the return
Give the lodge a realistic arrival estimate after baggage collection and keep a working contact. On departure, plan around the flight’s airline check-in deadline and the full mountain-to-airport road journey. A tour stop, walking trail or market visit is outside the transfer unless specifically confirmed.
