Colón is on the Caribbean coast
A cruise itinerary showing Panama does not by itself identify the port. Colón is on the Caribbean side, while Amador is on the Pacific side near Panama City. Read the terminal on your embarkation documents and provide the ship, sailing date and luggage count.
Specify the terminal or hotel
A Colón 2000 cruise transfer, a Free Zone visit and a night at a lake-area hotel are different endpoints. Use the exact terminal required by the cruise line; the driver should not have to choose from a broad city label. A hotel-to-ship leg needs its own confirmation if you stay overnight.
Do not treat road time as embarkation advice
Our city-to-port planning zone allows about 1 hour 20 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes of road travel from PTY. Airport formalities, delays and cruise check-in are additional. The cruise line determines the boarding deadline. A same-day flight-to-ship connection needs a realistic contingency plan and cannot be guaranteed by a transfer estimate.
Disembarkation pickup is a separate event
A ship’s arrival time is not the time passengers are released with luggage. Agree how the driver will receive updates and what waiting is included. For an onward PTY flight, account for port release, road traffic and airline check-in; send the flight and passenger count before accepting the schedule.
