Amador is the Pacific-side destination
The Amador Causeway includes hotels, marinas and the Panama cruise terminal. It is not Colón. Provide the ship and terminal from your cruise documents, or the ferry company and pier for a Taboga trip, rather than requesting a generic port transfer.
Allow for a causeway approach
Plan approximately 40–80 minutes of road travel from PTY under ordinary conditions, with extra time for airport formalities and traffic. The correct drop-off may be farther along the causeway than a hotel or museum pin. Confirm where the vehicle can lawfully unload your bags.
Keep ferry tickets separate
An airport car reservation does not include a Taboga boat ticket, luggage allowance or guarantee of a ferry connection. Confirm check-in and sailing with the actual operator first. A delayed flight can affect the onward trip even when the road transfer itself runs normally.
Return travel needs a meeting agreement
Cruise release and ferry arrival times are not the same as road pickup readiness. Agree a contact method and waiting policy before departure. If the itinerary includes a night in an Amador hotel, book that as the destination and arrange the following day’s pier transfer separately.
