PTY and PAC are separate airports

Tocumen handles many international services; Marcos A. Gelabert Airport at Albrook uses PAC. A domestic itinerary may require a road journey across the city. Verify the airport code and operating airline for each segment rather than assuming a connection remains inside Tocumen.

Collect the facts before booking a car

Check whether you must enter Panama, collect baggage and check in again. Ask the airline about the domestic baggage allowance and cutoff time, which may differ from the international ticket. We do not provide immigration eligibility advice or decide whether a self-connection is feasible.

Allow the entire connection window

Our Albrook road estimate is 35–70 minutes after leaving PTY. It does not include arrival procedures, traffic beyond the planning window or check-in at PAC. An airport transfer cannot guarantee an airline connection. If the margin is small, review later flight or overnight options directly with the airline.

Choose the passenger terminal

Albrook Mall, Marriott Panama Hotel and the bus terminal are near the broader Albrook district but are not the PAC airline terminal. State the flight number and airport terminal as the destination. If staying overnight, request the hotel instead and confirm the next day’s airport ride separately.
